These terms govern your use of this site and the tools on it. Please read them before using the service. By using the site, you agree to be bound by them.
Who operates this site
This site is operated privately and is not published under a company name or postal address. All correspondence, including legal notices, should be sent to contact@pdf-make.com, which is monitored and is the correct route for any matter concerning the site.
By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the tools.
What the service does
The site provides tools that process PDF and image files. All of them run inside your browser, which means the files you work on are never transmitted to us and we never come into possession of them.
The service is provided free of charge. No account is required and none is offered.
Your responsibility for the files you process
You are responsible for having the right to process any file you use here. That includes owning the document, holding a license to it, or otherwise being authorized by whoever does.
This applies regardless of which tool you use. Files you do not own or have not been given access to should not be processed here, whatever the technical means by which you obtained them.
You must not use the site to process material that is unlawful in your jurisdiction, that infringes another person's rights, or that you have obtained without permission.
No warranty
The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that any tool will produce a particular result, that output will be suitable for a particular purpose, or that the site will be available without interruption.
Processing can fail, and a document can be left damaged in ways no automated check will notice. Retain your source file, and treat anything produced here as a second copy rather than a replacement for it.
Accuracy of converted and recognized content
Conversion between formats and optical character recognition are both inherently imperfect. Recognition accuracy in particular varies with scan quality, and errors in recognized numbers are easy to overlook and expensive to inherit.
Check any converted or recognized output against the original before relying on it, especially where figures, dates or names are involved. We accept no responsibility for decisions made on the basis of output you have not verified.
Electronic signatures
The signing tool places a visible signature image onto a page. It is not a cryptographic digital signature and does not carry a certificate, a timestamp, or tamper detection. No tool on this site applies or removes PDF encryption.
Whether a visible electronic signature is legally sufficient depends on your jurisdiction and on the type of document. Some categories, commonly including property transfers and testamentary documents, require more. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and you should confirm what your situation requires.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to interfere with the operation of the site, circumvent any technical measure, or use automated systems to place unreasonable load on it.
We may restrict access where use appears designed to disrupt the service for others.
Third-party components
The tools rely on open-source libraries loaded from a public content delivery network, and on typefaces loaded the same way. These are covered by their own licenses, and we make no warranty in respect of them.
Who may use the site
The tools are open to anyone able to form a binding agreement under the law that applies to them. If you are using the site on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
There is no registration step and therefore no age check. Nothing on the site is aimed at a young audience, and no personal information is gathered from any visitor whatever their age.
Availability, and changes to the service
The site is provided without any undertaking of continuous availability. Tools may be added, altered or withdrawn, and pages may change without notice. Where a tool's behavior changes in a way that affects your files, the page describing it changes too.
Access may be restricted where use appears designed to disrupt the service for others, and this may be done without notice where the disruption is ongoing.
If part of these terms does not hold
If any provision here is found unenforceable by a court, that provision is severed and the rest continues to apply. A failure to enforce a term on one occasion is not a waiver of it on another.
These terms, together with the privacy, cookies, disclaimer and disclosure pages, are the whole of the agreement between you and us about your use of this site, and replace anything said elsewhere about it.
Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated. The version published here at the time you use the site is the version that applies.
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established. Nothing in them limits any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence, or your right to bring proceedings there.
