Common questions
Is a drawn signature legally valid?
In many jurisdictions electronic signatures are recognized for most everyday agreements, but the rules vary by country and by document type — property transfers and wills are common exceptions. This isn't legal advice; if the agreement matters, check what your jurisdiction requires.
Is this a digital signature?
No, and the distinction matters. This draws a visible signature onto the page. A digital signature is a cryptographic certificate that proves who signed and detects later changes. If someone asked for a digitally signed PDF, they mean the second thing.
Can I sign on more than one page?
Run the tool again on the signed file and place a second signature. Your drawing has to be redrawn each time.
Can somebody copy my signature out of the file?
Yes — anyone can extract an image from a PDF. That's true of every visible-signature tool, including the expensive ones. Only send signed documents to people you intend to have them.
What if I cannot draw a decent signature with a trackpad?
Type your name in the box beneath the drawing pad and it is rendered in a script face instead. That is also the route to take if you navigate by keyboard, since drawing needs a pointing device.
Can I fill in form fields too?
Not in this tool. Signing and form filling are separate jobs with different controls.
